ALS Food and Environmental NZ (formerly Analytica) offers a range of IANZ ISO 17025 accredited microbiology and pathogen detection tests for different foodstuffs. We take the guesswork out of food safety by helping you ensure your product is safe to consume.
We offer a range of microbiological tests to give you and your customers peace of mind about the quality and safety of your product and processes. Some of the tests we offer include:
- Aerobic Plate Count
- Bacillus cereus
- Coagulase positive Staphylococcus
- Enterobacteriaceae
- Escherichia coli and Total Coliforms
- Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes
- Salmonella spp.
- Yeasts and Moulds

In addition to our food microbiological tests, we offer a broad range of internationally recognized methods for assessing the quality and safety of dairy products. Some of these tests include, but are not limited to:

- Sulphite reducing Clostridium spores
- Thermophiles
- Thermophilic spores
In addition to our food microbiological tests, we offer numerous tests specifically for the honey sector, including:
- American Foulbrood (by PCR)
- Manuka DNA (by PCR)
- Osmophilic yeast
- Staphylococcus aureus (presence/absence)

This provides manufacturers with a variety of options to suit their HACCP or RMP needs and helps with detecting problematic microorganisms that may be contaminating their product. Air quality can also be monitored through our air settle plates.
